On the 28th of December 2018, SMKBU3 had their orientation day where all the new students of SMKBU3, accompanied by their parents, came to register themselves. The event started at 8am but the school compound was already packed half an hour before. After the students were done registering at the front counters ,they were ushered to the main hall at Block A for a speech by Miss Woo and were seated according to their classes. After the speeches and a performance from the pancaragam club, the students were brought on a tour around the school by the prefects while the parents stayed in the hall to listen to a brief talk from the principal.
The tour included the school office, canteen, the library and other places. A few of our senior librarians even came to school to give a short briefing to the new students when they stopped by at the library. The tour ended with the students settling into their respective classes where the class teacher distributed textbooks to each student. Parents were allowed to go up to the classes after the briefing and settle any fees that had to be paid. The event ended around 11:30pm.
