Our Annual Farewell Party of 2013

On the 6th of July 2013, the Librarians of SMK Bandar Utama Damansara (3) had an annual Farewell Party at Concorde Hotel, Shah Alam. We gathered excitedly at the hotel at 11.00 a.m. and entered the restaurant at 11.45 a.m..
The venue was packed with Librarians anticipating the day. We started off by welcoming Puan Azizah, Puan Nasiroh and Puan Ngau into the restaurant and singing the National Anthem.
Our event began with a speech from Yeoh Zi Qing, 2012 Head Librarian. She thanked all the teachers and friends for supporting her and encouraging all the Librarians to carry on being excellent.
In her speech, Puan Azizah encouraged us and advised us to be more creative and be more talented.
There were a lot of interesting and impressive performances. Halfway through, everyone was famished and yearned for food.
The hotel prepared a variety of delicious dishes such as Cantonese noodle, pineapple fried rice, desserts, salads, lasagne, and many more. The food was so delicious, many of us wiped our plates clean and headed back for another round!
While we were busy eating, a few of our talented Librarians danced and sang on stage to keep us entertained.
We also got lucky draws and questions so nobody went home empty-handed. There were also presents to be given to our most senior Librarians. We even had mock awards for the Librarians. Librarians were crowned in shiny golden crowns.
Next came the video presentations. Our Librarian family has such a variety of talents, so now, it was time for the film-making geniuses to show off theirs! It started out with the oh-too-familiar tune of Spanish club music with a person dancing while Librarians seemingly work at the background. The infamous Harlem Shake has invaded the Library. The room erupted with laughter as the videos went on. The laughing intensified when we watched a hilarious comedy sketch and a video of what went on in the girls' hotel room on one fateful night in Cameron Highland ... (hint: it had something to do with sharks!). The mood changed as we watched a montage of all the precious moments with our beloved senior Librarians.
Games began once the videos ended. The games were so entertaining, everybody wondered whether it was normal to laugh so much in one day!
The last event was the most memorable. Our most senior Librarians were smothered in love as all the Librarians hugged and wished them farewell. We had so much  fun that day and it made me feel that our Library has been my second home, the place that I always wanted to be, anytime, anywhere.
Time flew by so fast. Our party ended at 5.00 p.m.. We had a group photograph and we then went home. Overall, this event was the best event I have ever attended my whole life! It will be cherished in a special part of my memories.
